Customizing EGP Services

Supplying a Local AS Number
Each autonomous system has a NIC-assigned decimal number ID.
You must supply the AS ID for the local autonomous system (the AS to which this
router belongs). There is no default for this parameter.
You can use Site Manager to supply the local AS number.
Site Manager Procedure
You do this System responds
1. In the Configuration Manager window,
choose
Protocols
.
The Protocols menu opens.
2. Choose
IP
. The IP menu opens.
3. Choose
EGP
. The EGP menu opens.
4. Choose
Global
. The Edit EGP Global Parameters window
opens.
5. Set the
Local Autonomous System ID
parameter.
Click on
Help
or see the
parameter description on page
A-24
.
6. Click on
OK
. Site Manager returns you to the
Configuration Manager window.
