Parameter: PPP Circuit Mode
Default: Multilink
Options: Multilink
|
Multilink Monitor
Function: Specifies the type of multilink connection to this interface. This parameter
value also determines the value of the PPP interface parameter PPP Mode.
Instructions: Accept the default, Multilink, to enable PPP multilink for this circuit (and
if you set the Bandwidth Mode parameter to Non-monitor). In addition,
selecting this value prevents you from configuring the other monitor
parameters.
Select Multilink Monitor to enable multilink and designate the router as
the monitor router. For bandwidth-on-demand connections, the monitor
router is responsible for monitoring congestion on the bandwidth circuit.
If you configure bandwidth-on-demand service to aid a demand circuit,
and this parameter is set to Monitor, ensure the demand circuit’s
Connection Mode is either Collision Master or Collision Slave.

Parameter: BOD Exam Period
Default: 10 (0.10-second intervals)
Range: 5 to 200, in 0.10-second intervals
Function: Indicates how often the router checks the bandwidth circuit to determine
if the line or bundle is congested.
Instructions: Enter a value specifying how often you want the router to check the
congestion on the bandwidth circuit. For example, entering a value of 200
means that the router checks the line every 20 seconds
(200 x 0.10-seconds = 20 seconds).
