If you choose accept, then your phone will ring and you can answer the call.
if you choose accept, but do not answer the call, the call goes to your cellular voice mail.
if you refuse the call, the call goes to your Enterprise voice mail.
Call Screening Disabled: Handling of incoming calls depends on the system Cellular Voicemail
Avoidance configuration.
If Cellular Voicemail Avoidance is on, after you answer the call, a prompt asks you to press pound
(#) to accept the call. If you press #, the call is established. If you do not press #, or if you ignore
the call, the call goes for your Enterprise voice mail.
If Cellular Voicemail Avoidance is off, the incoming call rings in the normal manner. If you do not
answer the call, it may go to your Enterprise voice mail or to your cellular voice mail. Remember to
check both voice mail systems.
For more information on call screening, see “IM/Call settings” on page 28. Cellular Voicemail Avoidance
is controlled by your system administrator.
Note 1: To ensure that your BlackBerry rings or vibrates when you receive an incoming call with the
Avaya 3100 MC - Client, you must update the notification profile. For more information see
“Configuring your BlackBerry Notification Profile” on page 31.
Note 2: After you answer a call on your desk phone, you may hear additional ringing on your Avaya
3100 MC - Client for BlackBerry. Your device rings the number of times configured in your notification
profile. For more information see “Configuring your BlackBerry Notification Profile” on page 31.
Call screening and voice mail
Missed or ignored calls go to voice mail, either your cellular voice mail or enterprise voice mail, depending
on the screening mode.

Call Screening mode Operation
Call Screening on If you accept the call (at the alert) but then
do not answer the call when it starts to ring,
the call goes to cellular voice mail.
If you reject the call at the alert, the call goes
to the enterprise voice mail.
Call Screening Off Incoming calls are forwarded to your mobile
phone. A voice prompt asks you to press #
to accept the call.
If you press #, then the call is
established.
If you do not press # (you ignore the
call), then the call goes to enterprise
voice mail.
