Reviewing and configuring your Buddy settings

1. Select Menu, Options, Buddy.

2. Complete the fields using the information in the following table as a guide.

3. Select Menu, Save.

Quick key settings

Your BlackBerry has two convenience keys (left and front).

You can configure a convenience key as a quick key to start a selected action when the Avaya 3100 MC -

Client is in focus. For more information about actions, see Table 9 "Quick key pane fields" on page 31.

When the application is not in focus, the key operates normally.

Configuring and reviewing your Quick key settings

1. Select Menu, Options, Quick Key.

2. Complete the fields using the information in the following table as a guide.

Enable Auto Presence Select this check box to have the Avaya

3100 MC - Client receive automatic

presence notifications from other mobility-

enabled buddies whenever their status

changes.

Note: Enabling this feature causes extra

airtime to be consumed and battery life

to be reduced.

Auto Clear Interval

(minutes)

When this timer expires, the Avaya 3100

MC - Client automatically clears all presence

notifications from the Buddy list. Enable

Auto Clear Presence to operate the timer.

Configure the timer to a value between 1

and 120 minutes. Configuring the timer to 0

disables this function.
