Buddy settings

Use the Buddy pane to manage presence update behavior for your mobility-enabled buddies (mobile client

users on the same system).

New IM Alert If this box is selected, whenever you receive

a new instant message, the New IM Alert

appears. You can either ignore or reply to the

message. If you choose to ignore the

message, you can review it later in the

History.

If this box is clear, whenever you receive a

new instant message, the IM sessions pane

appears if you are on a read-only pane. If you

are on a data input pane, no alert appears

and the message is added to the History.

Instant Conference

Notify Period

Configure the Instant Conference Notify

Period between 1 and 30 minutes. This

parameter controls how often the Avaya

3100 MC - Client prompts you to join an

Instant Conference after you have received

the initial invitation and selected Join Later.

Enter 0 to disable the feature.

Call Intercept Call Intercept can be turned on or off.

• On (default): All calls placed from the

device, including calls from the native

dialer) route through the Avaya 3100

Mobile Communicator Gateway. This

allows you to show your Enterprise

telephone number when calling people

on company business.

• Off: Calls placed from the native dialer

do not route through the Avaya 3100

Mobile Communicator Gateway. The

other party will see your cellular

telephone number.
