Enabling Join Acknowledgments
By default, IGMP does not respond with an acknowledgment to join requests from
host groups.
Using Site Manager, you can configure IGMP globally to respond to a join request
by sending an IGMP query to the group.
Site Manager Procedure
You do this System responds
1. In the Configuration Manager window,
choose
Protocols
.
The Protocols menu opens.
2. Choose
IP
. The IP menu opens.
3. Choose
IGMP/IGMP Relay
. The IGMP menu opens.
4. Choose
Global
. The IGMP Global Configuration window
opens.
5. Set the
Join Ack Enable
parameter. Click
on
Help
or see the parameter description
on page A-18.
6. Click on
Save
. You return to the Configuration Manager
window.
Note:
This is a proprietary Bay Networks function. It is not part of standard
IGMP.
