Starting Multicasting and Multimedia Services

PIM is now running on the router with default values for all global and interface
parameters. You can customize PIM by modifying PIM parameters. For
information and instructions, see Chapter 6, “Customizing Protocol Independent
Multicast.”
5. Set the following parameters to configure
a bootstrap router and a rendezvous point
router:
• Candidate BSR
• Candidate BSR IP Address
• Candidate RP
• Candidate RP IP Address
• Candidate RP Group/Mask
Click on
Help
or see the parameter
descriptions beginning on page A-41.
6. Click on
OK
. The Initial IGMP Global Configuration
window opens.
7. Accept the default values by clicking on
Save
.
You return to the Configuration Manager
window.
