Enabling and Disabling Cisco Router Compatibility
By default, Bay Networks routers are compatible with the standard PIM
specification defined in RFC 2362. You can enable Bay Networks routers to
interoperate with Cisco routers configured with a nonstandard PIM
implementation.
To enable or disable Cisco router compatibility, complete the following tasks:
Site Manager Procedure
You do this System responds
1. In the Configuration Manager window,
choose
Protocols
.
The Protocols menu opens.
2. Choose
IP
. The IP menu opens.
3. Choose
PIM
. The PIM menu opens.
4. Choose
Global
. The PIM Global Configuration window
opens.
5. Set the
Cisco Compatible
parameter.
Click on
Help
or see the parameter
description on page A-47.
6. Click on
OK
. You return to the Configuration Manager
window.
