Customizing OSPF Multicast Extensions

Enabling Dynamic TTL
You can configure MOSPF to drop multicast packets that do not have a TTL high
enough to reach the closest group member. By default, this feature is disabled.
To enable and disable this feature as required, complete the following tasks:
Site Manager Procedure
You do this System responds
1. In the Configuration Manager window,
choose
Protocols
.
The Protocols menu opens.
2. Choose
IP
. The IP menu opens.
3. Choose
OSPF/MOSPF
. The OSPF menu opens.
4. Choose
Global
. The Edit OSPF Global Parameters
window opens.
5. Set the
Multicast
Dynamic TTL
parameter. Click on
Help
or see the
parameter description on page A-36.
6. Click on
OK
. You return to the Configuration Manager
window.
