To modify the sample threshold interval, complete the following tasks:
Setting the Default Join/Prune Interval for the Router
The join/prune interval is the interval, in seconds, at which each PIM interface
configured on a local router sends join/prune messages to its upstream neighbor in
the PIM domain.
By default, each PIM interface sends join/prune messages every 60 seconds. You
can specify a value from 5 through 18,724 seconds (5 hours, 12 minutes, and 4
seconds).
To modify the join/prune interval, complete the following tasks:

1. In the Configuration Manager window,

Protocols
.
The Protocols menu opens.
2. Choose
IP
. The IP menu opens.
3. Choose
PIM
. The PIM menu opens.
4. Choose
Global
. The PIM Global Configuration window
opens.
5. Set the
Threshold Sample Interval
parameter. Click on
Help
or see the
parameter description on page A-40.
6. Click on
OK.
You return to the Configuration Manager
window.
