RIP
When the RIP timer
expires:
• RIP packets will be sent
over connected SVCs.
• Any SVCs configured as
adjacent hosts that are not
connected will remain
disconnected. SVCs will
not be connected in order
to send RIP packets.
RIP packets will refresh
the transmit inactivity
timer, any connected
SVCs will never discon-
nect due to inactivity.
