NBAP Network Based Audio Playback. Audio playback that can occur
across a network (ethernet) from a remote audio server (as opposed to
locally stored audio data.

NBY1 redundancy A MPS configuration that uses an extra system as a backup for the
other on-line systems—that is, 1 unit to back up N units.
NBY1 provides one backup path across all systems. Any of the
systems can forward its telephone connections to the backup unit.
When this backup path is used by a system, all other systems are
blocked from using this backup path.
NCD Network Interface Controller Daemon. A single-threaded process
that resides in the GEN subcomponent of the common component
and controls the interconnections between multiple TMS platforms
attached to the NIC (card).
