conferencing See call conferencing.
connected The normal online operational state of a host computer. In the
connected state, the Avaya MPS and the host can exchange data.

CONOUT Console Output Process. The VOS process that is responsible for
providing output to the system console. CONOUT receives display
data from the VOS processes and routes it to the system console.

CONSOLED Console Daemon takes messages that would normally appear on the
system console and displays them in the Alarm Viewer. These
messages include:
application output (for example, PeriProducer System block
display statements)
system messages
System messages can be generated by the Avaya MPS or the
operating system.

conversational A method of speaking numeric data where each number is spoken as a
cardinal number.
For example, the string 1234 is spoken “one-thousand-two-hundred-
thirty-four.” That is, the string of digits is combined into a single
number. All non-digit characters are ignored.
Contrast with non-conversational.
