intermediate timeout
message
The message the system speaks if either the host intermediate timer or
the resource intermediate timer expires.
The default host and resource message uses the vocabulary element
“Please hold on” to speak the phrase “Please hold on” to the caller.
You can use PeriStudio to record a different phrase. You can also
specify a different vocabulary element by doing one of the following:
use the Application Manager Configure Applications tool to
modify the Intermediate Timeout Message Execution option
in an application, use an Environment block to modify the
intermsg VENGINE option
Also known as the “Please hold on” message.

intermediate timer See host intermediate timer, resource intermediate timer.
internal resource An internal resource provides resources to the Avaya MPS
environment from within the Avaya MPS platform. An internal
resource is defined as:
an optional part of the TMS, residing on a plug-in card
uses the TMS multibus for control data
uses the TMS PCM highway for audio control

ISDN Integrated Services Digital Network. A set of standards and
protocols designed to allow a single phone line to support multiple
transmissions at the same time. Signaling is performed using a
dedicated channel.
The Avaya MPS supports ISDN for data transmission.
