Dial Backup with PPP or Standard on the Primary Line
Figure B-5 shows routers 1 and 2 connected via a synchronous line running PPP
and using Raise DTR signaling. This connection can also use Nortel Networks
Standard. You designate this synchronous connection as a primary connection, so
that if it fails, the router provides a dial backup connection.
You can configure the routers for this network using the BCC or Site Manager. Go
to one of the following sections:
