Using the BCC
You can enable or disable X.25 service over the D channel for each BRI line. To
do so, navigate to the bri prompt and enter:
x25-isdn-dchannel

state
is enabled or disabled. The default is disabled.
For example:
bri/1/1/# x25-isdn-dchannel enabled
If you enable X.25 service over the D channel, you must configure the TEI type
and value to communicate with the ISDN switch.
Configuring the TEI Type
The
x25-tei-type
parameter
specifies how you choose to configure the TEI value
for the DTE. You can preassign the identifier value at the time you order ISDN
service, or the router can learn the value from the switch dynamically when you
place a call and the line becomes active. Either way, the switch assigns this value.
To specify the TEI type enter:
x25-tei-type
<type>
type
can be:
fixed
-
Tells the router that you will enter the identifier assigned by the switch
before placing any calls.
auto
- T
ells the router that it learns the identifier dynamically when the line is
active.
