Configuring and Customizing IGMP

Enabling Join Acknowledgments
By default, IGMP does not respond with an acknowledgment to join requests from
host groups.
Using the following Site Manager procedure, you can configure IGMP globally to
respond to a join request by sending an IGMP query to the group:
Site Manager Procedure
You do this System responds
1. In the Configuration Manager window,
choose
Protocols
.
The Protocols menu opens.
2. Choose
IP
. The IP menu opens.
3. Choose
IGMP/IGMP Relay
. The IGMP menu opens.
4. Choose
Global
. The IGMP Global Configuration window
opens.
5. Set the
Join Ack Enable
parameter. Click
on
Help
or see the parameter description
on page A-18.
6. Click on
Save
. You return to the Configuration Manager
window.
Note:
This is a proprietary Bay Networks function. It is not part of the
standard IGMP protocol.
