Enter the following information for the new IP interface:

— IP Address (Example – 191.1.182.1)

— Subnet Mask (Example – 255.255.255.0)

— Transmit Broadcast Address (Accepting the default of 0.0.0.0 calculates

the actual address)

You can ignore the Unnumbered Associated Address parameter for now (see

Conﬁguring Routers or Conﬁguring Customer Access and Trunks (BNX

Software) for information).

3. Click on OK.

The Conﬁguration Manager (Figure 11-4) appears again with the connector

box highlighted to indicate that the circuit has been conﬁgured. Later, when

you create a complete conﬁguration ﬁle, you add circuits and select protocols

for all circuits on the router or BNX platform.

Saving the Pilot Conﬁguration File

From the Conﬁguration Manager window, you save the conﬁguration you just

created to a ﬁle.

Note: Site Manager does not create a conﬁguration ﬁle until you save the

conﬁguration information you speciﬁed.
