c. Click on OK in the conﬁrmation window.

2. Select File➔Save As from the Conﬁguration Manager window.

The Save Conﬁguration File window appears (Figure 3-5).

Enter a new ﬁlename, such as temp, and click on Save. Do not use the

ﬁlename conﬁg.

The File Saved pop-up window appears (Figure 3-6).

Click on OK.

Note: On AN routers, the compacting operation can take up to 12 minutes. Do

not reset the AN during this time. Resetting the AN during compacting will

corrupt the ﬂash memory, and the AN will not boot until you replace the ﬂash

memory media.
