Conﬁguring the Circuit

To conﬁgure a circuit, begin at the Conﬁguration Manager window, and complete

the following steps:

1. Click on the link module connector you want to connect to the network.

The Add Circuit window appears (Figure 2-1).

A default circuit name appears in the Circuit Name box. The default circuit

name consists of a circuit type designator (Table 2-1) followed by two sets of

numbers that identify the circuit location (the ﬁrst number is between 1 and 14

and identiﬁes the router slot; the second number is between 1 and 8 and

identiﬁes the speciﬁc connector in that slot).

Note: Refer to Conﬁguring Line Services for instructions on adding MCT1 or

MCE1 circuits.
