Disabling and Reenabling a PVC
By default, a PVC is enabled (Up) when you add it to the service record. However,
you can disable or reenable the PVC at any time.
When the PVC is enabled, traffic can flow over it. When the PVC is disabled,
traffic cannot flow over it.
Using the BCC
To disable a PVC, navigate to the PVC prompt (for example,
box; atm/11/1;
pvc-service/boston; pvc/11/1/0/32
) and enter:
state disabled
For example, the following command disables the PVC:
pvc/11/1/0/32#
state disabled
pvc/11/1/0/32#
To reenable the PVC, navigate to the PVC prompt and enter:
state enabled
For example, the following command reenables the PVC:
pvc/11/1/0/32#
state enabled
pvc/11/1/0/32#
Using Site Manager
To disable or reenable a PVC, complete the following tasks:
