Setting the Route Echo Switch
The peer route echo switch controls the way the router echoes a BGP route that is
chooseed for forwarding. (Echoing in this case means advertising the route back
to the peer from which it was received.)
By default, the router advertises the route back as reachable and includes the
local AS.
You can use the BCC or Site Manager to configure BGP to echo the route as
UNREACHABLE/withdrawn.
Using the BCC
Navigate to a BGP peer prompt and enter
route-echo
state
enabled
disabled (default)
