To access the FR LAPF Parameters window, complete the following tasks:
Site Manager Procedure
You do this System responds
1. In the Configuration Manager, choose
Protocols
.
The Protocols menu opens.
2. Choose
Frame Relay
. The Frame Relay menu opens.
3. Choose
Interfaces
. The Frame Relay Interface List window
opens.
4. Click on the
LAPF
button. The Frame Relay LAPF Parameters
window opens.
Parameter: Enable
Path: Configuration Manager > Protocols > Interfaces > LAPF
Default: Enable
Options: Enable

Disable
Function: Enables or disables LAPF on this interface.
Instructions: To disable LAPF on this interface, set to Disable. Otherwise, accept the default,
Enable.
MIB Object ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.9.9.7.1.2
Parameter: Station Type
Path: Configuration Manager > Protocols > Interfaces > LAPF
Default: User Side
Options: Network Side

User Side
Function: Identifies the desired station type of this interface.
Network Side indicates that LAPF will act as the data communications
equipment.
User Side indicates that LAPF will act as the data terminal equipment.
Instructions: To have LAPF act as the DTE, accept the default, User Side. To have LAPF act
as the DCE, set to Network Side.
