The copy running-config command is in the privExec command mode.

configure network command

The configure network command loads the ASCII configuration file from an

external TFTP server. The syntax for the

configure network command is:

configure network [address <A.B.C.D>] [filename <WORD>]

Note: The copy config command will copy a binary configuration

file to the TFTP server. To store the configuration as an ASCII file, you

must use the

copy running-config command.

Parameters and variables Description

address <A.B.C.D> Specifies the TFTP server IP address; enter in

dotted-decimal notation.

filename <WORD> Specifies the name of the existing ASCII configuration file

on the TFTP server. This file must be read/write enabled.
