Parameter: MAC Address
Default: None
Options: Any valid MAC address
Function: Specifies the MAC address of a client that will use the RARP services of
this router.
The client will include the MAC address you specify here in RARP
requests it broadcasts to the router.
Instructions: Enter the MAC address of a client.
MIB Object ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.3.9.2.1.2
Parameter: IP Address
Default: 0.0.0.0
Options: Any valid IP address
Function: Specifies the corresponding IP address for the client with the MAC
address you specify.
When the router receives a RARP request from the client, the router
assigns this IP address to the client and includes it in a response packet.
Instructions: Enter the IP address corresponding to the value of the MAC Address
parameter. Do not accept the default value.

Disabling RARP Globally
To globally disable RARP from all router interfaces on which it is configured,
begin at the Configuration Manager window (refer to Figure 1-3) and proceed as
follows:
1. Select Protocols➔IP➔Reverse ARP➔Globals.
The Edit RARP Global Parameters window appears (Figure 4-5).
