Starting AHB Services

This chapter provides instructions for starting AHB services with the default

configuration values supplied by Nortel Networks.

This chapter includes the following information:

Network Planning Considerations

Before you configure AHB, ensure that you have the following:

• The VPI/VCI numbers (ATM) used in your network configuration

• The ATM circuit names that you configured

• A minimum of 8 MB of memory on the router for ARE processor modules

AHB Configuration Requirements

Before you can configure AHB on the router, you must:

• Prepare a configuration file.

• Configure an IP interface on the router.

• Configure circuitless IP on the router.
