VTCPD Features User Manual
Debugging
The current status of the internal VTCPD tables can be obtained by the amu command
request status. It shows the state of host connections, pool slots allocated to each
phone line, current line state (I - the line sent GET; S - SEND; R -RECEIVE,
waiting for host reply; P - data from host pending, waiting the line to execute
RECEIVE) and associated Message ID or data (if pending).
To facilitate debugging:
display a VTCPD status report
The traffic between the VTCPD daemon and applications can be displayed if
the command option -Xa has been used or if it is enabled by the amu
command request debug a. Use req deb n to disable the feature (see amu
request status on page 102.)
display message traffic
The traffic between the daemon and host
(s) can be displayed by command line
option -X1 (or req deb 1 and req deb 0 using amu commands) (see
amu request debug on page 102.)
simulate host input
The host may be simulated using an instance of VTCPD and one or more
PERIProducer applications (see Host Simulation on page 103.)
