Conﬁguring Protocols for Each Type of Network

For AppleTalk, DECnet, IP, IPX, and OSPF, you must modify a few parameters

for the non-fully meshed and fully meshed networks previously illustrated.

Select and edit these protocols after you conﬁgure a synchronous (COM) interface

for Frame Relay. Refer to Conﬁguring Routers or Conﬁguring Customer Access

and Trunks (BNX Software), depending on the type of installed software, for more

information about setting up an interface.

The following tables list conﬁguration changes for each protocol running over the

Frame Relay networks. These changes apply only to Routers 5, 6, and 7. Refer to

the appropriate protocol manual for information about each protocol.

AppleTalk Conﬁguration

Tables A-1 and A-2 list the AppleTalk parameters that you must edit for each

interface.

Note: The tables list only parameters whose default settings you need to

change.
