IP Reference Points
Table 4-4 defines the reference points in the IP header from which you can build
user-defined criterion. Figure 4-5
shows an example of where those reference
points are located in a packet.

Reference Point Definition
HEADER_START Points to the first byte in the IP header
HEADER_END Points to the first byte following the IP header
IP_WAN_HEADER_START Points to the beginning of the header (beginning
of the packet) for PPP and Frame Relay packets
IP_WAN_HEADER_END Points to the first byte following the DLCI in a
Frame Relay packet, and the first byte following
the protocol ID in a PPP packet
IP_SR_START Points to the beginning of the SRB packet, which
is the high-order byte of the destination address
IP_SR_DATA_LINK Points to the first byte following the RIF
