Name Description
Facility The process running on the machine for
which log messages are created.
Host The name of the syslog host that stores the
log output.
Header The header part of the syslog packet. The
header part contains timestamp and host
name information.
Facility Printing The printed message includes the facility
name of the application.
Button Description
Edit Opens the Edit Appender page. Use this
page to modify the appender information.
Attach Opens the Attach Appender page. Use this
page to add an appender to the logger.
Detach Removes the selected appender from the
logger.
Commit Saves the changes in the logger information
to the database.
Cancel Closes the Edit Logger page and takes you
back to the Logging Configuration page.

Use this page to edit information of an appender.
Name
Description
Logger The name of the logger.

You can only view this information.
Appender The name of the appender.

Threshold Log Level The threshold log level set for the appender.
Appender logs only information of log type
that is set in the threshold log level .
