The credential was obtained through Bell Canada.
The Message Handling fields and SIP Registration were kept blank as default. The
certification testing does not require either the manipulation on the SIP message headers
or the registration.
5.4. Administer Codec Profile
This section describes the steps for configuring the voice codec on BCM450 to interworking
with Bell Canada.
5.4.1. Codec settings for SIP Trunk
To change the codec settings for SIP Trunk, select Configuration Resources IP Trunks
SIP Trunk. The Media Parameters tab is configured with the following parameters:
Selected list: G.711-uLaw. The certification testing was conducted with only G.711 MU
codec. Other voice codec e.g. G.729 or G.723 have not been tested.
G.711 payload size (ms): 20.
Enable Voice Activity Detection: Unchecked.
Fax transport: G.711. The T.38 fax has not been tested.
Force G.711 for 3.1k audio: Checked.
