Logging In with a Valid PIN

After you obtain a valid PIN, you must enter it along with the token code on the

SecurID Smart Card to complete the authentication procedure.

The following sample session shows the dialogue that takes place when you log in

with a valid PIN.

“Next Tokencode” Prompt

The ACE/Server can be configured to issue any number of challenges to your

authentication. Therefore, sometimes even after you type your PASSCODE

correctly, the ACE/Server automatically prompts you to enter the next token code

that appears on your SecurID card to confirm your SecurID token.

The ACE/Server also displays the “Next Tokencode” prompt when you have three

consecutive failed login attempts. If your fourth login attempt is successful, the

ACE/Server will challenge you a fifth time.
