Symmetrical mid-call features
MC 3100 Release 3.0 introduces a group of mid-call features for Windows
Mobile, BlackBerry and Nokia clients that permits access a group of
mid-call PBX features from the Nortel Mobile Communication Client 3100
(MCC 3100). The symmetrical mid-call features ensure a consistent user
interface. Nortel Communication Server 1000 (CS 1000) Release 5.5
supports the mid-call features. Customers with CS 1000 Release 5.0
systems cannot access these features.
Device handoff
Device handoff permits the MCC 3100 user to hand off an established call
between the mobile phone and the desk phone. The desk phone must be
configured with a handoff key. Device handoff can be used only when
the desktop phone and the universal extension share the same primary
DN in a single call arrangement. When the desktop and MCC 3100 user
are in a multiple call arrangement, the user can transfer the call between
appearances. A conference circuit is required to perform this operation. If
a conference device is not available, the key will not function.
The CS 2100 does not support the Device handoff feature.
