MCG 3100
The Nortel Mobile Communication Gateway 3100 (MCG 3100) interacts
with the Nortel Mobile Communication Client 3100 (MCC 3100) application
on mobile devices and the supporting communication server.

MCG 3100 overview
The MCG 3100 facilitates communication between MCC 3100 and
Enterprise communication servers. The MCG 3100 supports the following
clients:
• Nortel MCC 3100 for BlackBerry
• Nortel MCC 3100 for Nokia
• Nortel MCC 3100 for Windows Mobile Single Mode
This document refers to the supported clients using the generic term
clients.
MCG 3100 features
The MCG 3100 provides the MC 3100 Instant Conferencing feature.
The MCG 3100 administrator uses a Web-based administration tool that
enables administrators to perform the following tasks:
•
monitor the MCG 3100 and active MC 3100 Instant Conferencing
• start, stop, and restart the MCG 3100 software processes
• update the MCG 3100 operating parameters
• monitor and manage clients
