Bandwidth-on-Demand Circuit Definition Parameters
Parameter: BOD Pool ID
Default: None
Range: 1 to 255
Function: Identifies the bandwidth-on-demand pool associated with the bandwidth
circuit.
Instructions: If you select bandwidth-on-demand in the Circuit Type parameter, enter
the ID of the bandwidth line pool that this circuit should use. If you select
Normal in the Circuit Type parameter, Site Manager does not allow you to
enter a pool ID.
You must create a pool before you can specify a circuit as a bandwidth-
on-demand circuit. The router first creates the circuit as a normal circuit.
See Chapter 4 for instructions on creating line pools.
MIB Object ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.1.4.5.1.35
Parameter: Bandwidth Mode
Default: Non-Monitor
Options: Non-Monitor | Monitor
Function: Determines whether or not the router serves as the congestion monitor.
The level of congestion informs the router when to provide an additional
circuit to carry data across the network.
Instructions: Enter Monitor to instruct the router to watch the congestion on the line.
Only one router on the link can serve as congestion monitor and bring up
a secondary line. The router at the opposite end of the link must be set to
nonmonitor. If both are set to monitor, they may try to bring up a
secondary line simultaneously, resulting in a collision on the network.
