Setup tasks overview

After you have installed the Quick2Config server, you need to perform one or

more setup tasks. Table 7 lists the tasks and the conditions under which you need

to perform them.

Installed the Quick2Config server and

verified its installation

Change the password for the Quick2Config

administrator. See “Assigning the Administrator

password” on page 63.

Have multiple Web servers on your

computer and are using the Web

server integrated with Quick2Config

Configure the Web server. See “Configuring the

Web server” on page 66.

Installed the Quick2Config server

on a system that is running a TFTP

daemon

Configure the TFTP server. See “Configuring the

TFTP server” on page 68.

Installed the Quick2Config server

on a system that is running a SYSLOG

daemon

Configure the SYSLOG server. See “Configuring

the SYSLOG server” on page 71.

Want Quick2Config users to be

able to download the standalone client

software

Copy the standalone client files to the

downloads directory. See “Enabling remote

client software setup” on page 72.

Want Quick2Config users to be able to

gain access to the demonstration files

Copy the demonstration configuration files to the

TFTP server. See “Setting up sample

configuration files” on page 73.
