When you insert an operational second power supply into the Passport
5430 with the power on, the PS2 LED on the system processor module
turns on. At the same time, the Passport 5430 automatically redistributes
the load between the two power supplies.
5. Connect to the AC power source.
For instructions, see “Connecting to the AC Power Source” on page 17.
6. Turn on the power supply power switch.
Replacing a Power Supply
To replace a power supply:
1. Turn off the power switch on the power supply you are replacing.
Caution:
To maintain proper cooling, never operate the Pass-
port 5430 with an empty power supply slot. If you are replac-
ing a failed second power supply and you do not have a power
filler panel, leave the failed power supply installed until a
replacement power supply is available.
