To send an APPN ping request, proceed as follows:
1. Select Administration > Ping from Router > APPN.
The APPN Ping window appears
(Figure 7-17).

2. In the Target CP/LU Name field, enter the required APPN address, in the
format of a Control Point name, of the remote device. Use the format
<network ID>.<CP name> if the remote device is not on the same network
as the system from which you are pinging.
