Changing the Command Timeout
By changing the command timeout you determine the number of minutes that can
elapse before the Technician Interface disconnects the Telnet session if you do not
enter a command at the command prompt.
By default, the device waits 15 minutes before it disconnects the Telnet session if
you fail to enter a command at the command prompt.
Using the BCC
To specify the number of minutes that the device will wait before it disconnects
the Telnet session, navigate to the server-specific prompt and enter:
command-timeout <
integer
>
integer
is a number from 1 to 99.
For example, the following command causes the device to wait 35 minutes before
it disconnects the Telnet session if you fail to enter a command at the command
prompt:
server#
command-timeout 35
server#
5. Set the Password Timeout (min.)
parameter. Click on Help or see the
parameter description on page A-11.
6. Click on OK. Site Manager saves your changes and
exits the window.
