This section describes how to return to Configuration Manager Release

1.2 after you upgraded to Configuration Manager Release 1.3. Only

perform the procedures in this section if you want to install

Configuration Manager Release 1.2 after you performed one of the

following actions:

• upgraded to Configuration Manager Release 1.3

• started to the upgrade to Configuration Manager Release 1.3 and

then exited the installation before it was complete.

To return to Configuration Manager Release 1.2:

1. Uninstall Configuration Manager Release 1.3. See “Uninstalling

Configuration Manager” on page 28.

2. Delete the directory /usr/local/avaya/mcm.

3. Install Configuration Manager Release 1.2. See the instructions in

Avaya MultiVantage™ Configuration Manager Release 1.2 Installation

and Configuration, Issue 3, November 2002.

4. Log into Configuration Manager. See “Starting Configuration

Manager” on page 32.

5. Configure the server. “Setting Up the Configuration Manager

Server” on page 33.

6. Restore the Configuration Manager Release 1.2 back up you

created before you installed Configuration Manager Release 1.3.

See the Configuration Manager online help for information on

how to perform a restore.
