Removing an SRM-L

If the SRM-L slot in your BN platform already contains an SRM-L that you are

replacing, you must remove the old module to install the new one.

Note:

The SRM-L and System Resource Module-Front (SRM-F) each supply

two backbones. This means that two backbones become inactive if you remove

one of these modules, and four backbones become inactive if you remove both.

When you insert a module, its associated backbones become active. Refer to

Installing and Maintaining BN Routers

for more information on the SRM-F.
