Use both call modes to configure a service number in your MCC 3100 for

Windows Mobile system settings. However, if you do not configure a

service number, you can only use the Call-me-First mode. For more

information, see “Owner Information settings” on page 43.

Calling individuals

The following options are available for calling an individual:

• “Dialing a number” on page 65

• “Calling from the Buddy list” on page 69

Dialing a number

Place a call by dialing an extension or telephone number.

1. Expand the Phone pane.

2. Select Menu, Input Method, Use Keypad.

3. Dial the contact extension or Public Switched Telephone Number

(PSTN) number.

Note: To enter the plus (+) sign, press and hold the 0 key on the

dialpad. To facilitate dialing configure the Alpha to Digit map. For

more information, see “Call settings” on page 39

4. Specify your own number by doing one of the following:
