Chapter 6: Launching Applications
This chapter provides instructions for launching device specific applications and network wide applications
from the Network Management Console.
For information specific to an application, refer to the application’s User Guide or on-line help.
Device applications that can be launched from Network
Management Console
Launching G860/Audio Codes Mediant 3000 EMS Client
If you need to launch the G860 EMS Client through NMC > Tools, do the following:
1. Manually add the following new System variable in Windows My Computer / System
Properties / Advanced / Environmental Variables. ...Variable name:
AUDIOCODES_DIR Variable value (without a back slash at the end): "C:
\Program Files\AudioCodes\EMS Client 5.8.80".
The exact EMS folder path will vary depending on which version of EMS client is
installed on the user machine or which particular EMS Client version you want to
launch through NMC > Tools if there are multiple EMS client versions on the user
machine.
2. Restart Avaya services.
3. Log on to Network Management Console and select Tools > G860 EMS Client.
This launches the GUI for G860/Audio Codes Mediant 3000 EMS Client.
4. Provide the login details for the EMS Client separately.
