To access the Hi/fn LZS Interface List window, complete the following tasks:

Site Manager Procedure

Parameter: Enable

Path: Configuration Manager > Protocols > Hi/fn LZS > Interfaces

Default: Enable

Options: Enable

Disable

Function: Enables or disables Hi/fn LZS compression on this interface.

Instructions: Site Manager automatically sets this parameter to Enable when you select Hi/fn

LZS as the compression protocol. If you want to temporarily disable Hi/fn LZS

rather than delete it from the router, set this parameter to Disable. To reenable

Hi/fn LZS, reset it to Enable.

Parameter: Engine Type

Path: Configuration Manager > Protocols > Hi/fn LZS > Interfaces

Default: Software

Options: Software

Hardware

Function: Specifies whether data will be compressed by software or hardware.

Instructions: For hardware compression, set this parameter to Hardware.

For software compression, set this parameter to Software.
